JL Farms, a partnership between Jess & Laryce Schwieterman, is located 10 miles north of Syracuse in far southwest Kansas. In the quest to have access to newer more productive wheat varieties we started growing seed wheat in 2007 with the hard white winter wheat variety, Danby. Over the years we have expanded out seed wheat business to include both white and red varieties. Wheat streak mosaic has been a challenging disease in our area, so a good disease package is one of the first things we look at when deciding which varieties will be a good fit not only for our farm, but our customers. Drought resistance comes in a close second as every acre of seed wheat is grown on dryland. KWA varieties KS Dallas, KS Hamilton & Joe have been very good varieties for us. Providing our customers with a good seed buying experience is our top priority. We can treat seed with fungicide and insecticide, have certified scales on site, and a large area around bins for ease of loading. We have also added a semi tender with belt conveyor that can deliver multiple varieties at the same time. Visit with our staff about delivery options and which varieties would be best for your operation.

We are proud to offer these Kansas Wheat Alliance Varieties
