KS Flintlock
Seed Quick-Facts
Top Highlights:
About The Seed:
KS Flintlock is a medium maturity, medium-short variety developed for the central plains. KS Flintlock has shown very high yield potential, consistently out yielding KS Providence in head-to-head trials. This variety fares well against rusts and soil borne mosaic virus but will benefit from a fungicide application when head scab infection looks likely. This is a variety that will likely respond very well in high management production.
Where to Grow
KS Flintlock is most adapted to the central and southern plains. This variety will have the most success in high yielding, higher management cropping systems.
What’s in a Name?
KS Flintlock was named by the Annie Oakley 4H club for both the Flint Hills and the rifles that fought the American Civil War. These rifles were far more reliable than the matchlock firearms they replaced. Shoot for high yields with KS Flintlock!
