It is intermediate to stripe rust, resistant to stem rust, leaf rust, and soil-borne mosaic virus and has an intermediate response to acid soils, good down to 5.5 pH. The FHB resistance will likely be adequate for most producers. The primary benefit of this line is high performing stability.

KS Providence has found a home all over the Great Plains, succeeding in production systems as varied as Northeast Colorado, North Central Texas, and Northern Missouri. The wide adaptability of this variety has allowed it to move almost anywhere Hard Red Winter Wheat is grown.
