About The Seed:
KS Providence has proven itself as a very well adapted and extremely high yielding variety for Kansas and beyond. It is intermediate to stripe rust, resistant to stem rust, leaf rust, and soil-borne mosaic virus and has an intermediate response to acid soils, good down to 5.5 pH. The FHB resistance will likely be adequate for most producers. The primary benefit of this line is high performing stability.
Where to Grow
KS Providence has found a home all over the Great Plains, succeeding in production systems as varied as Northeast Colorado, North Central Texas, and Northern Missouri. The wide adaptability of this variety has allowed it to move almost anywhere Hard Red Winter Wheat is grown. KS Providence also boasts one of the best overall leaf health packages in our lineup, being intermediate to resistant on almost all metrics. The disease package mixed with high yield potential makes KS Providence an easy pick for almost any farming operation.
