About The Seed:

KS Territory is a medium height, medium maturity variety from the K-State Hays Breeding Program. It carries the Wsm2 gene for wheat streak mosaic resistance and has moderate resistance to leaf and stem rusts. This variety also has intermediate resistance to Triticum Mosaic Virus, making is especially well suited to areas where both WSMV and TriMV are a concern, like the High Plains.

KS Territory is similar to KS Dallas, but with improved straw strength, FHB tolerance, Triticum Mosaic Virus tolerance, and Hessian fly resistance.

Where to Grow

KS Territory is our flagship High Plains variety. With superior drought resistance, excellent virus tolerance, and outstanding winter hardiness, there’s nothing the plains can do that this variety can’t handle. This variety is also resistant to Hessian fly making it a good choice for producers that like to plant early. As a bonus, KS Territory also carries intermediate resistance to FHB giving producers peace of mind when planting into corn stubble.

What’s in a Name?

KS Territory was named to honor the legends of the old west and to invoke a spirit of adventure. Before it was admitted as a state, the Kansas Territory stretched all the way from Missouri to the Rocky Mountains. Make your mark and steak your claim.
