Phillips Seed Farms Inc is committed to incorporating new technology into high performance germplasm. These factors play a major role on today’s farms. We are committed to bringing forth genetics and traits that provide economic and agronomic value to our farming customers.
Phillips Seed comes from a strong history of service, which was founded in 1985 by Don Phillips. Starting as a custom seed cleaning company, it quickly moved from small to large scale. Phillips Seed is a full-service company, which is mostly housed in Kansas but has locations in neighboring states. As a growing entity, Phillips Seed has expanded its market area and clientele over the years. With their seed wheat, Phillips Seed offers a full, custom cleaning service, a full seed lineup, and strives to meet the needs of all their growers. Among other things, Phillips Seed offers storing, packaging of seeds, and is equipped with multiple cleaning systems.
At the Phillip Seed operation, they utilize a seed cleaner, followed by an intense seed treatment, which will be followed by the gravity table. Their custom seed treatment options range from customer to customer, depending on the geographical location of where the seed will be planted and maintained. With that, the custom seed treatments have been part of their portfolio since the beginning.
When working with Phillips Seed, you find a friend in your seed dealer. With the best agronomists by their side, they offer the best advice for each individual grower to come to them. In addition to having the most qualified agronomists to work with, Phillips Seed’s advice ranges from the different customers to walk through the door, and where the seeds will be planted geographically, depending on climate.
Phillips Seed wants to expand a level of gratitude for those who have and continue to support Phillips Seed. Through the years, they have had a steady level of growth, while maintaining a large customer base. Being organized and able to complete requests from customers in a timely fashion, sets Phillips Seed up for success among other things.
Phillips Seed currently offers the Kansas Wheat Alliance varieties of KS Ahern and Zenda to their customer base.
